ORU men's soccer announces 2013 schedule

TULSA — The Oral Roberts University men’s soccer program has announced its 19-game 2013 schedule, including 11 home games at the Case Soccer Complex.

“We feel good about the schedule have in front of us,” said Coach Ryan Bush, who begins his first season directing the men’s soccer program. “With home games against Missouri State and Central Arkansas in addition to a tough Summit League schedule, we should have some exciting games at the Case Soccer Complex.”

The schedule includes three exhibition games to start the year, beginning with a trip to SMU on Aug. 18. Two exhibition contests at home against John Brown (Aug. 20) and Northeastern State (Aug. 23) conclude the preseason.

The regular season kicks off in St. Louis as the Golden Eagles travel on Aug. 30 to face the Billikens, Houston Baptist will serve as the official home opener on Sept. 2 before ORU heads back on the road to face Central Arkansas (Sept. 6) and Memphis (Sept. 8).

The game at Central Arkansas is one of two home-and-home series on the schedule as the Bears return the game in Tulsa on November 5. ORU will also face Missouri State twice this season, doing so in Tulsa on Sept. 24 and in Springfield on Oct. 15.

After playing three of the first four regular season games on the road, ORU will play five straight at home, taking the Golden Eagles into conference play.

Summit League play begins with Fort Wayne (Sept. 28) and Western Illinois (Oct. 12), both being played at the Case Soccer Complex.

The Summit League semifinals will be contested on Nov. 15 in Macomb, Ill., with the championship match on Sunday, Nov. 17.
